Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan has landed in Accra to undergo an MRI scan to ascertain the extent of an injury he picked up during the team’s training at the Cape Coast Stadium with the stars.
The Kayserispor attacker limped of the pitch of his first training session with his team mates as they prepare for the Pharaohs game on Sunday November 12, 2017 in the Russia 2018 world cup qualifier.
Gyan, who is currently the country’s all-time top scorer stayed on the sidelines as the rest of the team went through their paces.
With the former Sunderland attacker granting an interview to the media said “I feel about this new injury and I do not know what to say.
“This is part of our career as footballers…there are ups and downs and this is one of those moments,” Gyan said.
Meanwhile news picked up from reliable sources has it that Gyan would not have even played a part in Sunday’s game whether fit or not.
